American Homestays
Most ELC students are eager to take advantage of the family homestay opportunity available year-round at each centers. Along with the chance to improve conversational skills, homestays can create warm friendships that last a lifetime.
Homestay Highlights:
- Boston homestays are available year-round
- Learn about American culture and practice your English
- One student per linguistic background per family
- Arrival on Saturday or Sunday before the course; departure on Saturday after the course
- Choose your meal plan: half board (breakfast and dinner) or breakfast only
- Average commute 35 - 45 minutes, depending on which school location; always within 60 minutes of school by public transportation
- Always a single room unless otherwise requested* (see below)

ELC studio apartments provide independent lodging for students who want the privacy of staying in their own apartment. These comfortable apartments are ideal for students wanting to live in the heart of the Back Bay, steps from Copley Square, the Prudential Center, within walking distance of ELC Boston and the many nearby restaurants, cafes and shops.
Studio Apartment Highlights:
- Available June-September
- A short 15-20 minute commute by public transportation
- Single rooms with private bath
