Most ELC students are eager to take advantage of the family homestay opportunity available year-round. Along with the chance to improve conversational skills, homestays can create warm friendships that last a lifetime.
Homestay Highlights:

The Claremont Hotel
ELC students can enjoy living in the heart of Westwood Village just steps from restaurants, shops, UCLA campus and Hollywood Movie Premiers. The Claremont Hotel is located just two blocks from ELC. The Claremont Hotel has simple, clean and quiet rooms. Each room has a private bathroom and telephone. Wireless Internet access is available in the lobby and common living room. This year-round option is popular with students who wish to be located near the school.

Royal Palace Westwood (NEW!)
The Royal Palace Westwood is located in Westwood Village, only a 5-minute walk to ELC. The neighborhood is home to many great shops, cafes and restaurants and is a fun place for students to socialize outside of the classroom. The hotel consists of large rooms with wireless Internet access as well as a television, refrigerator, microwave, telephone and private bathroom in each room. A complimentary continental breakfast is also included.

The Best Western Gateway Hotel is located in Santa Monica and offers a free shuttle to the Third Street Promenade and Santa Monica beach. UCLA Dormitory
In July and August, ELC Los Angeles offers additional accommodations on the beautiful campus of world famous UCLA. UCLA is located in Westwood Village just a 10 minute walk to ELC Los Angeles.
- Single and double rooms available
- Students live in Residence hall and attend classes on campus
- Students have free access to many of the UCLA facilities including the Wooden Athletic Center’s fitness center, Sunset Canyon Recreation Center, racquetball and tennis courts, and swimming pools.
- Students may also visit the Ackerman Food Court and Arcade and the UCLA Student Bookstore.
- Students have access to the UCLA libraries.

*A housing deposit of $150 is required for all homestays as well as for the dormitory and re sidence in Los Angeles.. This fee will be refunded on the condition that no physical damage has been done to the property, all phone bills have been paid, and no payment for accommodations remains due. The housing deposit will also be refunded if you have to cancel a course and have notified ELC at least two weeks prior to the start date.
