Summer Campus Program at Wheelock College

June 23 - August 25, 2012

Offered only during the summer months of July and August, the ELC Summer Campus Program at Wheelock College gives students the opportunity to live on an American university campus in the heart of downtown Boston while they study English with ELC. Students will live in a dormitory on the Wheelock College campus and have free access to its facilities including a recreation center, library, bookstore, and computer terminals with internet access. The dormitory has a spacious student lounge with a big screen TV and DVD, and billiards table where students can join together, relax, and have fun.

Students attend ELC classes on the campus in classrooms located a short walk from their dormitory. Students may participate in the Semi-Intensive English Program, from 9:00am to 12:40pm, the Semi-Intensive Plus Program, from 9:00am to 12:40pm daily and from 1:40pm to 3:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, or the Intensive English Program, from 9:00am to 3:30pm. Students with afternoon classes will have them at the main ELC location. The course length can be any duration of one to eight weeks.

Note: Students with afternoon classes may need to attend those classes at the main ELC location.

Wheelock College Campus Program Details:

  • Shared room occupancy
  • Dorms are furnished with beds, dressers, desks, chairs and closets
  • Students have use of spacious lounges with TV and VCR/DVD as well as the Pilgrim Student Center which includes a foosball table, piano, media equipment and computer stations
  • Students have access to Wheelock College library, bookstore, and computer terminals with internet
  • Wireless internet is accessible in all the buildings on campus (if students are bringing a personal computer we suggest they bring an internet cable)
  • Wheelock is a short walk to a public park with a track, basketball courts and open field space
  • The campus has an outdoor quad as well as an outdoor patio area

Please Note: ELC will make every effort to place students with roommates from different language backgrounds; however, in some cases this may not be possible.

Shared (Breakfast only): $370 per week
Shared (Breakfast and Dinner): $460 per week
