Special Note: The MIT Program is not available for 2018. Please consider our Summer Junior Program in Boston Program.
The Summer Junior Program in Cambridge, MA gives students the opportunity to live and study in state-of-the-art facilities located at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
English level evaluation with multi-level placement: Placement testing includes a grammar section, a writing section, and an interview with the Director of Courses. The three separate components of the test allow us to make accurate placements for each of the student's classes.
Students participate in afternoon activities Monday-Friday. Afternoon activities are compulsory and are included in the Junior Program package. Evening and Saturday activities are always optional and offered to all students. ELC always offers a combination of free and low cost evening and Saturday activities. Please refer to the sample calendar for sample activities.
Students at MIT may choose from up to three different Activities Programs for their afternoon activity at no additional cost. Students may choose up to one program each week. Students must choose their selection at enrollment to ensure availability. ELC offers an optional week (Five State College Campus Tour) of visits to New England colleges and universities. In lieu of classes and regular afternoon activities students can spend the week going to a different and exciting destination each day.
