Twice per year, the English Language Center in Boston offers a Cambridge Certificate preparation course and exam. This eight or eleven-week program is an intensive English course that requires dedication and hard work to prepare for the exam. “The Cambridge course helped me immensely to prepare for the test, and I was even able to take the CPE, which I had never thought possible before,” says Luis Alejandro, a Cambridge student from Switzerland. In such an intense learning environment, our Cambridge students develop close, unique relationships with their classmates and teachers. “What is more, thanks to the course, I have met incredible people, with whom I hope to keep in touch,” Alejandro continues. For the staff and teachers at ELC, it’s really wonderful to watch the relationships between the students develop. There is a strong camaraderie among the students that promotes a healthy and fun educational atmosphere. “I’ve met such nice people in ELC. I will never forget them!” says Hanbyul You, another one of our Cambridge students. Last Friday was the last day of testing for our Cambridge students. To celebrate their accomplishment of completing the course, we all went to karaoke together. The students certainly deserved to let their hair down after such a grueling few months! The staff here at ELC will miss this crowd very, very much!
