Nina is from São Paulo, Brazil and studied with us in our Winter Junior program. We (Becca especially!) had the pleasure of spending 4 wonderful weeks with her, as she studied and explored Santa Barbara. We enjoyed following her vibrant personality, and will miss her here in Santa Barbara! Read on to learn more about Nina!
No, I have been to Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Washington D.C., and Orlando! I want to visit more places in the US.
Yes, I did! I experienced culture shock with food that we eat here! American food is so unhealthy, but very tasty. I was surprised by how friendly Americans are!
I miss the food in Brazil (brigadeiro!), and my bunny, Felpudo!
I love to shop especially on State Street and Paseo Nuevo in Santa Barbara! I love to hang out with Marine, who is from Belgium (so nice!), and take sun tans at the beaches here.
I love to eat a lot of different foods and shop!
Try your best, and when you see that you are thinking in English, you have learned a lot! Don’t be afraid to try, as that is how you learn!
My favorite place in Santa Barbara is the pier at Stearn’s Wharf, because when the weather is nice you can enjoy a lot and have such nice ice cream!
Mike’s classes were awesome! He was the best teacher ever! As well as Elaine’s. The best thing inside the class was when we practiced our acting and re-enacted the scene from Friends. Now I want lobster ravioli! My favorite moment outside of class were all the moments I spent with Marine.
I go back to school on Monday. I want to become fluent in English eventually. One day I will become a famous model. I will come back to Santa Barbara to tell Becca to stop eating so many bagels on Sundays!
