Room 23 is a brightly lit corner room with a fantastic view of Westwood. On clear days you can see all the way to downtown Los Angeles and Long Beach. Because of its great view and sun light, room 23 plays host to the monthly ELC table tennis Tournament.
Yesterday ELC players from all over the world converged for an hour-long round-robin tournament. Lead by ELC teacher Josephine, students revealed their competitive edge during rigorous, yet friendly, matches.
After a while it became evident that the rules need not apply as players resorted to volleying the ball back and forth without hitting the table. Despite side stepping typical table tennis etiquette and play, fun was had all around.
